Monticello is a deserted airfield that gives good access to the Canyonlands area.
A half hour flight brings this for a start.
This is the Colorado River winding thro the Canyonlands
before entering Lake Powell.
There's an old abandoned airstrip,
one of many left behind by the uranium mining industry.
My view from this great little aircraft!
Looks like a whole lot of gopher holes......
